12th June : World Day Against Child Labour

Every year the World Day against Child Labour has been organised on 12th of June by all the countries. Initially in the year 2002, it had launched by the International Labour Organisation to focus attention on the global extent of child labour and the action and efforts needed to eliminate it. Each year the day brings together governments, employers and workers organizations, civil society, as well as millions of people from around the world to highlight the plight of child labourers and what can be done to help them.

The theme for this year is ‘End child labour in supply chains – It’s everyone’s business.’ Many events have been organised across the country to mark the occasion and create awareness against child labour. In India also, a one-day programme has been held in the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and under the auspices of the Union Territory of Puducherry Legal Services Authority.

So let’s discuss some questions related to this post :
1. The World Day against Child Labour is observed on which date every year?
2. What is the theme for 2016 World Day against Child Labour?
