69th Himachal Day celebrated in the State

Himachal Pradesh is celebrated 69th Himachal Day. On the occasion, a state­ level function held at Ghumarvin town in Bilaspur district where Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh  has unfurl the national flag. Similarly, the ministers of state council has preside over functions in all the district headquarters. 

After independence, the Chief Commissioner’s Province of Himachal Pradesh came into existence on 15 April 1948, with the merger of 28 petty princely states. Himachal became a part C state on 26 January 1950 with the implementation of the Constitution of India and the Lt. Governor was appointed.
