BCCI suspends Goa Cricket Association officials for misappropriation of organization funds


The Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI) suspended Goa Cricket Association officials alleged fund issue. The notices were also given to them, who were arrested for alleged misappropriation of organisation funds, and initiated a probe of its own against them.

Chetan Desai, GCA president and Vinod Phadke, the secretary who are also part of important committees of BCCI were arrested. The treasurer Akbar Mulla was also arrested earlier this week by police for alleged misappropriation of Rs 3.13 crore belonging to the organisation. Goa Cricket Association have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for serious allegations in connection with misappropriation of large sums of monies of the Goa Cricket Association.
