Comcast to buy DreamWorks Animation for $3.8 billion



Comcast, the parent company of Universal Pictures has announced that it is going to buy the DreamWorks Animation for $3.8 billion in cash. The deal will put Comcast in direct competition with Disney.

The Dream Works Animation is best known for animated movies like Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar etc and after take over the company would operate under Comcast’s NBC Universal.

The Comcast Corporation is an American multinational mass media company, which is also the largest broadcasting as well as largest cable company in the world by revenue. The company also produce animation movies like Despicable Me and Minions etc.
