Deaf shooter Priyesha Deshmukh wins bronze in World Championship

Deaf Indian shooter Priyesha Deshmukh has won the bronze medal in her first-ever international competition at the first World Deaf Shooting Championships held in Kazan, Russia.


She won bronze in the 10m air rifle category and it was her maiden international participation. The Pune-based 23-year-old, who only began playing the sport three years ago, won the medal after scoring 180.4 points.
