Gangtok – India’s ‘Cleanest Tourist Destination’

Sikkim’s capital Gangtok has been conferred with the title of the ‘Cleanest Tourist Destination’ in India by the Ministry of Tourism. The award was presented to the state officials by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the India Sanitation Conference in Delhi on Friday. Further, Chandigarh and Mysore were felicitated as ‘Clean Cities’ in the ‘million plus population’ category.
