Govt. constitutes expert committee to study silt in Ganga in Bihar

The Government has constituted an expert committee of 4 members to study the silt in the river. The Centre will send a team to Bihar to study silt in river the river. Member of Ganga Flood Control commission A .K. Sinha has been made Chairman of the committee.

Other members are Chief Engineer of Central Water Commission S.K.Sahu, Prof. of IIT, A.K. Gosain and members of National Disaster Management Authority Dr. Rajnish Ranjan. During meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had requested him to send an expert team to study silt in Ganga which caused the devastating prevailing flood in the state.
