Govt has approved two highway projects worth Rs 4,300 crore

The Government has given approval to two highway projects worth around Rs 4,300 crore. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs(CCEA) has provided the approval to four-laning of the Lucknow-Sultanpur section on National Highway-56 in Uttar Pradesh at an estimated cost of Rs 2844.72 crore.

The second project of two-laning, with the formation of four lanes, of the Shimla Bypass (Kaithlighat to Shimla section) on National Highway – 22 in Himachal Pradesh has been approved at a cost of Rs 1583.18 crore. The proposal to create flexibility in the use of domestic coal has also been approved by the Cabinet.
