Jharkhand becomes first state to launch Direct Benefit Transfer in Kerosene

Jharkhand has become the first state in the country to implement Direct Benefit Transfer in Kerosene. The scheme is being implemented in four identified districts of the State from October 1. These districts are Chatra, Hazaribagh, Khunti and Jamtara.

Under the DBTK Scheme, PDS kerosene is being sold at a non-subsidised price, and, subsidy, as admissible, is being transferred to consumers directly into their bank accounts.
So let’s discuss some questions related to this post:
1. Who is the chief minister of Jharkhand?
2. Name the state, which has become the first state in the country to implement DBT in Kerosene?
