NK Chari is now MD of State Bank of Mysore

Mr. NK Chari has been appointed Managing Director of the State Bank of Mysore (SBM) with an immediate effect from 30th May. Prior to his new position, he was the Deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India. Mr. Chari is a postgraduate in commerce from Delhi University. This development comes on the back of the proposed merger of SBM with SBI.

He has joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in September 1978He also served as the Chief Operating Officer in National Banking Group, the retail branch network of State Bank of India. Prior to that, he was the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Chandigarh Circle, covering the four states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh with over 1,000 branches. He has also served as the Managing Director of Nepal SBI Bank Limited for four years from 2007.
