State Bank of India (SBI), the India’s largest bank and Master Card has announced their partnership with Centrum for distribution of its prepaid forex card. The partnership will help to bank to strengthen its multicurrency prepaid card in terms of more personalized manner as well as will also help to target the corporate customers of the bank. This is the first time when SBI has entered into this kind of deal to increase their reach.
Initially, the partnership will work in selected branches only but later it will be expanded to across the country. At present, the SBI MasterCard Foreign Travel Card offers frequent travelers a safe and convenient way of carrying multiple currencies in a single card wherever they are in the world. But with Centrum’s capabilities of a wide distribution network, the partnership between SBI, MasterCard and Centrum will enable better and stronger outreach to an increasing number of corporates with this proposition.
