South Indian Bank Gets ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The South Indian Bank has announced that its personnel department has achieved the ISO 9001:2008 certification. It is a very remarkable achievement for the bank as only very few personnel departments have won this certification in the industry. The announcement has been made by the MD & CEO of South Indian Bank Mr. V G Mathew

The ISO certification signifies a global benchmark in customer satisfaction, reduction in defect levels and product quality. The standard recognizes all the services required by the customer, it can be product services, hardware or software etc.

The ISO 9001:2008 certification also acknowledges that the policies, practices and methods adopted by the department are system oriented and in tandem with international standards. ISO 9001:2008 specifies the requirements for a quality management system where an organization has some basic features, those are – 

the organisation needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements. And the other one is to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
