World Tourism Day: 27 September

The World Tourism Day (WTD) is being observed annually on 27th September to raise awareness about the importance of tourism.

The purpose of WTD is to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value. The event seeks to address global challenges outlined in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to highlight the contribution the tourism sector can make in reaching these goals.
Theme: ‘Tourism for all – promoting universal accessibility’.

So let’s discuss some questions related to this post:
1. World Tourism Day is celebrated on which date?
2. What was the theme of the World Tourism Day 2016?
