Lakshmanan Meyyappan has been awarded the title of a Chartered Accountant, having received the Guinness World Record as the world’s youngest male Chartered Accountant at the age of 16 years and 141 days in Dubai.
Notably, his achievement is not limited to his age but also represents an impressive speed and breadth of his academic and professional path in finance.
Meyyappan’s interest in accounting emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic after completing his Class 10 board examinations. He was introduced to accounting principles by his mother who also holds the ACCA title. Having been impressed by the subject, he decided to obtain the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.
