In a historic moment for educational outreach in India, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) achieved a Guinness World Record for conducting the largest career advice session in a single day. The event, held in Mumbai on November 28, 2025, saw participation from more than 7,400 students, teachers, and principals, with 6,166 students officially counted under Guinness World Records criteria.
This monumental effort was part of ICAI’s flagship initiative CAFY 4.0 (Career in Accounting and Finance for Youth) and the Super Mega Career Counselling Programme, aimed at helping young minds make informed career choices in an evolving professional landscape.

The session not only focused on CA as a career but also covered broader opportunities in accounting, finance, economics, and business management.
Achieving a Guinness World Record is more than a symbolic milestone. It represents the growing importance of career readiness in India’s education narrative.

ICAI also emphasised that this is not a one-time campaign. CAFY will continue to serve as a sustained platform for youth engagement, combining offline and digital formats, school and college outreach, and multilingual resources.
