Actor & filmmaker Amitabh Dayal passes away
Actor and filmmaker Amitabh Dayal has passed away after suffering a heart attack at the age of 51. Dayal has worked in films like Kagaar: Life on the Edge (2003) with Om Puri, Bhojpuri film Rangdari (2012) and Raj Babbar’s Dhuaan (2013), Amitabh Bachchan’s Virrudh (2005). He also worked on P. Akash’s Dillagi…Yeh Dillagi (2005), the film started Dharmendra, Rati Agnihotri and Kapil Dev, but never saw light of the day.
Actor and filmmaker Amitabh Dayal, known for his roles in films like Virrudh and Kagaar: Life On The Edge, passed away at the age of 51 after suffering a massive heart attack. His wife, producer Mrinalini Patil, confirmed the news, adding that Dayal had been hospitalized since January 17 and had also tested positive for COVID-19, though he later tested negative. Dayal is survived by his wife and daughter, with funeral arrangements pending as his family from Chhattisgarh is en route to Mumbai.
In his final Instagram post, shared from the hospital, Dayal wrote, “Never give up, God is waiting to give you the best. Keep fighting. Love all.”
Amitabh Dayal had the opportunity to work with Amitabh Bachchan in Virrudh and appeared in Kagaar alongside the late Om Puri. He also featured in Raj Babbar’s Dhuaan and the Bhojpuri film Rangdari.
