Akshata Krishnamurthy Becomes First Indian to operate Mars Rover

Dr. Akshata Krishnamurthy has made this incredible achievement in space exploration. With a special degree from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), her journey is a great example of not giving up on your dreams. Her work at NASA, especially with the Perseverance rover, is like a guide for other people who love space.

Starting the NASA Adventure

Akshata has been working with NASA for more than five years. She did some important tasks for different space missions, especially one called the Perseverance rover. This rover is on a mission to collect things from Mars, which will help us understand more about the red planet. Akshata went from just dreaming about space to becoming a leader in the NASA team – showing everyone that if you really want something, you can make it happen!

Learning and Beating Challenges

Akshata went to MIT, which is a famous school. But because she was not from the United States, some people were not sure if she could do it. She faced challenges and people telling her it might not work out, but she did not let that stop her. She worked hard and got a full-time job at NASA after finishing her studies.

Making Mars Exploration Happen

Dr. Akshata Krishnamurthy is super important because of what she did for the Perseverance rover mission. This mission wants to find out more about Mars by collecting things from there. Akshata’s job as a leader in the NASA team shows how much she knows about space and how much she loves exploring it.
