Programmes on academic research and advanced technology skill development are expected to start from September 2026 from a provisional campus of Acharya Nagarjuna University located in Guntur while the main campus of Amaravati is built.

Facilities for Advanced Research & Innovation

An important aspect would be the Quantum Research, Innovation & Incubation Block with a footprint of 1.2 lakh sq. ft.

This building would include facilities for quantum computing and quantum communication, quantum photonics, quantum security, cryogenic and high performance computing. It would also include cleanroom, nanofabrication, semiconductor technology, chip design, data center and startup incubation facilities.

Targeting 8,250 Learners in Five Years

The initiative plans to develop 8,250 learners in five years. These would consist of about 1,650 learners through the degree programme and 6,600 learners via the skilling and certification programmes.

The yearly intake capacity of the institution would be around 3,913 learners by the fifth year.

Collaborations with institutions such as IIT Tirupati, IIIT Sri City, Andhra University, and JNTU colleges would be made for academic initiatives, research and technology development purposes.

Sustainable Campus in the Pipeline

The permanent campus of the institute would comprise various green and smart infrastructures, including generation of solar power, solar water heating systems, energy-efficient utilities and EV charging stations.

Other plans involve scientific waste management practices, smart classrooms, labs, hostels and 500-bedded accommodation.
