Amit Shah Lays Foundation of 10th Assam Police Battalion HQ
Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the 10th Battalion headquarters of the Assam Police in Kamrup. And asserted that strict action will continue against infiltration. Addressing a public gathering Amit Shah said Assam is set to become the industrial hub of eastern and North-Eastern India within the next five years. This event was attended by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The new Assam Police Battalion HQ will be developed across 124 bighas of land and include modern facilities.
Major Features of the Battalion HQ,
Shah noted that the land was earlier encroached upon and has now been cleared by the state government.
Alongside security measures, Shah highlighted major development initiatives in Assam.
