Highlighting the growing importance of cybersecurity, the Home Minister inaugurated the ‘Center for Cyber Operation and Security.’ This advanced facility, costing approximately 90 crore rupees and developed with the assistance of DRDO, is dedicated to the advanced investigation of cyber crimes. Amit Shah commended the E-beat system, pioneered by Chandigarh Police four years ago, which is now adopted nationwide.

Hackathon to Engage Youth in Tackling Technological Challenges

Addressing the need for innovative solutions in policing, Amit Shah proposed involving the youth through hackathons. Teams that excelled in addressing technological challenges were recognized and rewarded. The Cyber Operation and Security Centre (CENCOPS) was inaugurated, and the Union Home Minister reviewed the implementation of three new criminal laws passed by the Parliament.
