Amul Becomes ‘Official Sponsor’ of Sri Lanka Men’s Cricket Team for T20 World Cup 2024

Sri Lanka Cricket has announced that the Indian milk producer Amul has been appointed as the ‘Official Sponsor’ of the Sri Lanka Men’s Team for the duration of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Partnership to Boost Brand Visibility

According to Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket, Amul’s partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket is an excellent move, as associating with an international sports brand is going to help the firm gain market growth and further enhance its brand visibility among the international audience.

Benefiting Small and Marginal Farmers

Jayen Mehta, the managing director of Amul, stated that Amul is a proven model for dairy development and is proud to associate with Sri Lanka for the benefit of their small and marginal farmers.

Strengthening Association with Sri Lanka Cricket

Mehta added that Amul has been associated with the Sri Lankan team most recently in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, and the company is proud to further strengthen the association with the Sri Lanka Cricket Team.

Sri Lanka’s T20 World Cup Campaign

Sri Lanka will kick off their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on June 3, 2024, facing South Africa in New York. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be held in the West Indies and the USA from June 1 to 29.

Amul’s Presence in Cricket

Amul, the Indian dairy cooperative, has been actively involved in cricket sponsorships and has previously sponsored various cricket teams and tournaments. This partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket further solidifies Amul’s presence in the world of cricket and aligns with its brand strategy.

Boosting Sri Lanka Cricket’s Prospects

For Sri Lanka Cricket, this sponsorship deal with a renowned brand like Amul is a significant boost. Not only does it provide financial support, but it also helps to increase the team’s visibility and appeal on the global stage, potentially attracting more sponsors and fans.

Mutual Benefits for Both Parties

The partnership between Amul and Sri Lanka Cricket is expected to be mutually beneficial. While Amul gains exposure and brand recognition through association with an international sports event, Sri Lanka Cricket benefits from the financial support and increased visibility, which can contribute to the team’s success and the growth of cricket in the country.
