Andhra Pradesh to Set Up Exclusive Women Industrial Park to Boost Women Entrepreneurs

Andhra Pradesh has taken a strong and positive step to support women entrepreneurs by planning an exclusive industrial park only for women. This new industrial park will cover 30 acres and will mainly focus on women-led industries, startups, and small businesses. The aim is to give women a safe, supportive, and well-equipped space to start and grow their businesses.

This initiative shows the state government’s commitment to promoting women entrepreneurship and creating more employment opportunities.

MoU Signed With FICCI Ladies Organisation

To make this project successful, the Andhra Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FICCI-FLO). FICCI-FLO is the women’s wing of FICCI and works to support and empower women entrepreneurs across India.

This partnership will help women get guidance, training, and support at every stage of their business journey.

Role of FICCI-FLO in the Industrial Park

FICCI-FLO will play an important role in building a strong women entrepreneur ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities of FICCI-FLO

  • Mobilise women entrepreneurs from different sectors

  • Provide mentoring and business guidance

  • Support skill development and capacity building

  • Create networking and market linkage opportunities

Through mentoring and training, women entrepreneurs will gain confidence and practical business knowledge.

Infrastructure Support by APIIC

The development of the industrial park will be handled by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC). APIIC is responsible for developing industrial infrastructure in the state.

APIIC Responsibilities

  • Provide quality industrial infrastructure

  • Speed up approvals and clearances

  • Offer statutory and operational support

This support will ensure that women entrepreneurs face fewer delays and can focus on running their businesses smoothly.

Aligned With “One Family, One Entrepreneur” Vision

The initiative strongly supports Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of “One Family, One Entrepreneur.” This vision aims to encourage at least one entrepreneur in every family.

Key Goals of the Vision

  • Promote enterprise creation

  • Generate local employment

  • Support self-reliance and innovation

  • Improve women’s economic independence

The women industrial park fits perfectly with this long-term development goal.

Part of the Larger MSME Park Plan

This exclusive women industrial park is also part of a bigger plan to develop 175 MSME parks across Andhra Pradesh. These parks aim to boost small businesses and local industries throughout the state.

Expected Benefits

  • Growth of women-led MSMEs
  • Creation of new jobs
  • Stronger local economy
  • Financial empowerment of women
