Bairabi-Sairang Railway Line to Connect Aizawl
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bairabi-Sairang railway line project in Mizoram, marking the first-ever railway connectivity to the state capital Aizawl. This ₹8,000 crore project is a historic milestone for Mizoram’s infrastructure and is expected to boost trade, tourism, and economic opportunities in the region.
The Bairabi-Sairang railway line stretches 51 km and connects Bairabi (near Assam-Mizoram border) with Sairang (20 km from Aizawl).
