Cabinet Approves ₹2,781 Crore Rail Multitracking Projects in Maharashtra and Gujarat
In a key infrastructure move, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved two critical multitracking railway projects worth ₹2,781 crore. These projects aim to strengthen the Indian Railways network in Maharashtra and Gujarat, enhancing both passenger and freight capacity. The approved projects will expand the railway network by approximately 224 km, benefitting over 32 lakh people across 4 districts and 585 villages.
