Central Electronics Limited (CEL) Granted Mini RATNA Status (Category-1)

At its Golden Jubilee celebration, Central Electronics Limited (CEL) was honored with “Mini RATNA” status (Category-1) by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. This recognition underscores CEL’s transformation from a loss-making PSU to a profitable entity, achieving a net profit of approximately Rs 58 crore and consistently paying dividends to the Government of India for three consecutive years.

Over the past five years, CEL has demonstrated significant financial stability and operational prowess, enhancing its turnover, net worth, reserves, and profitability. This evolution marks a pivotal turnaround for the company.

CEL has made substantial impacts across various sectors including Defence, Railway, Security, Surveillance, and Solar energy, emphasizing indigenous technologies and manufacturing capabilities.

Future Initiatives

CEL plans to diversify its product portfolio with the introduction of Smart Boards, aimed at revolutionizing smart education implementation in schools nationwide.

The Golden Jubilee event, graced by Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri. Jagdeep Dhankhar, highlighted CEL’s 50-year journey of dedication and success in service of the nation. The event was attended by dignitaries including Cabinet Minister Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma and senior officials from the Government of India.
