Chandigarh University Becomes First Private University to Launch IndiaAI Data Lab with Intel

The Chandigarh University (CU) has become the first private university in India to establish the IndiaAI Data Lab in collaboration with the Intel India. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between the academic learning and industry requirements by providing the students with the practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Machine Learning and emerging technologies.

Chandigarh University has officially inaugurated the IndiaAI Data Lab at its University Institute of Computing (UIC) in partnership with the Intel India. This launch marks the significant milestone in India’s efforts to build the AI-ready workforce and promote industry-academia collaboration.

The state of the art facility has been designed as the dedicated platform where students can acquire the technical expertise, gain practical experience and develop innovative AI solutions.

This lab will serve as the simulated apprenticeship environment, enabling students to work on to the real-world projects and strengthen their industry readiness.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the university leadership and representatives from Intel India and highlighting the importance of this collaboration in advancing AI education.
