Chandrika Pujari Wins Gold at World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 as India Bags Five Medals

At the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 India had finishing the tournament with five medals. Indian boxer Chandrika Pujari led the country’s medal tally by winning gold in the women’s 51kg category. Her victory was the highlight of India’s campaign as the team secured one gold, three silver and one bronze medal during the event. She has claimed the gold medal in the women’s 51kg boxing division after defeating Mardonova Nazokat of Uzbekistan in the final.

Chandrika Pujari had secured the victory with a unanimous decision.

Three Silver Medals for India at World Boxing Futures Cup 2026

Apart from the gold medal Indian boxers have also delivered strong performances in several categories and secured three silver medals after reaching the finals of their respective divisions.

Indian boxer Gunjan finished with silver in the women’s 48kg category after losing the final bout to an opponent from England by a 5-0 decision.

Also Joyshree Devi won silver in the women’s 54kg category. She fought a tough final but lost 4-1 to Guadalupe Ruiz of United States.

In the men’s 50kg category, Ambekar Meetei also secured a silver medal after finishing as runner up in his division.

He lost the final match to Mykhailo Sydorenko of Ukraine.

Radhamani Longjam Wins Bronze at World Boxing Futures Cup 2026

India’s fifth medal at the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 came from Radhamani Longjam who secured a bronze medal in the women’s 57kg category.

Radhamani Longjam reached the semi finals of the tournament where she faced Yevanhelina Petruk of Ukraine.

Her performance contributed to India’s overall five-medal haul at the tournament.
