Syllabus of CHSL Exam

The syllabus, pattern and time given for each tier is as follows:

Tier I:

  • General Intelligence, English language, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness sections.
  • 25 questions in each section, carrying 50 marks each.

Tier II:

  • Candidates must write an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/Application of 150-200 words.
  • Both tasks are worth 100 marks and candidates have 60 minutes for completion.

Tier III:

  • This is a skill/Typing test, which is qualifying in nature and does not contribute to be the final merit list.
