Deepti Sharma Becomes Joint-Highest Wicket-Taker for India
Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma creates the history as she become the joint-highest wicket-taker in international women’s cricket. This achievement comes during India’s Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Group A match against the Netherlands at Headingley in Leeds as she claimed her 355th international wicket and she matched the legendary tally of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami.
The landmark wicket came when Deepti dismissed the Dutch opener Phebe Molkenboer in ongoing India’s Women’s T20 World Cup clash against the Netherlands.
With that breakthrough, Deepti’s international wicket tally reached to total 355 and it allows her to draw level with the Jhulan Goswami at the top of the all-time wicket-taking list in women’s international cricket.
