Divya Kala Mela 2023: A 10-day is Being Organized in Mumbai

Divya Kala Mela 2023 is a unique event showcasing the products and craftsmanship of Divyang entrepreneurs/artisans from across the country and has been started in Mumbai. The Divya Kala Mela 2023 is a 10-day fair being organized at MMRDA Ground-1, Bandra Kurla Complex from February 16-25, 2023 by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).

Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale inaugurated Divya Kala Mela-2023 in Mumbai.

Divya Kala Mela 2023: A 10-day is Being Organized in Mumbai – Key Points

  • Around 200 Divyang artisans/artists and entrepreneurs from about 24 states/UTs will be showcasing their products and skills at the fair.
  • The event would present an enthralling experience to the visitors as vibrant products from various parts of the country including Jammu and Kashmir, Northeastern states, handicrafts, handlooms, embroidery works, packaged food, etc. will be seen together.
  • It will be an opportunity for all to go vocal for locals and buy/see products made by Divyang craftsmen with their extra determination.
  • The broad range of products would include items of home décor & lifestyle, clothing, stationery, and eco-friendly products, packaged food and organic products, toys & gifts, and personal accessories like jewelry, clutch bags, etc.

About Divya Kala Mela

These Divya Kala fairs have an important contribution to branding, product development, and providing market benefits to the products of Divyangjan. A large number of people attend these famous fairs, due to which it becomes easy to take the skills of the Divyangjan to the public. For the last few years, the Divyangjan Empowerment Department is organizing exclusive fairs for Divyangjan through NHFDC at its level. These fairs have been named as Divya Kala Mela.

In December 2022, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities organized the Divya Kala Mela at the historic Kartavya Path in New Delhi, in which lakhs of visitors appreciated the art, crafts, and products of Divyangjan.
