About Double Layered Khadi Mask:

The Double Layered Khadi Mask has been developed by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) with the help of Double Twisted Khadi fabric. The Double Twisted Khadi fabric helps in retaining 70% of the moisture content inside and also allows an easy passage for the air to pass through. These masks can easily be reused, washable and biodegradable as they are made of hand spun hand woven khadi fabric.

The Khadi Stitching Center at Nagrotta near Jammu has been transformed into a Mask stitching center. This newly formed Mask stitching center is producing 10,000 masks per day and the remaining orders are being distributed amongst various Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Khadi institutions in and around Srinagar.

KVIC bags large orders:

The KVIC Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has recently bagged an order according to which it has to supply 7.5 lakh pieces of Khadi Masks to Jammu & Kashmir Government.

Important takeaways for all competitive exams:

  • Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC): V.K. Saxena.
  • Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir: Girish Chandra Murmu.
