European Union Clears India for Continued Marine Product Exports
The European Union (EU) has included the India in its updated list of countries who are eligible to export marine products. This decision will ensures the Indian seafood exports ill continue beyond the September 2026.
The EU’s updated list comes as the major relief for Indian exporters.

The EU accounts for around the 19% of India’s seafood exports and making it the third largest destination.
In the year 2024, the EU released a draft list of countries who are allowed to export animal origin products. India was not included in that list.
Reason for Exclusion
If India had not met these standards the exports would have been blocked after the September 2026.
