FASTag Annual Pass Fee Hiked by NHAI from April 2026
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced the revision in the FASTag Annual Pass fee. This fee hike which will take effect from April 1 2026. According to the official order issued on the March 12 the cost of the annual pass for private non commercial vehicles has been increased slightly. The Vehicle owners will now have to pay ₹3,075 for the FASTag Annual Pass. Earlier it was compared with the earlier price of ₹3,000.
The FASTag Annual Pass scheme was introduced the simplify toll payments for frequent highway travellers.
This scheme was officially launched on Independence Day in 2025 to encourage the use of digital toll collection systems across India’s national highways.
This initiative was designed mainly for people who regularly travel on highways and have to make repeated toll payments.
After purchasing the FASTag Annual Pass usual commuters can reduce the need for multiple toll deductions during frequent trips.
The FASTag Annual Pass is available only for non-commercial vehicles this are including private cars, jeeps and vans equipped with a valid FASTag account.
Once the FASTag Annual Pass is activated the vehicle can cross toll plazas on national highways up to 200 times within one year or whichever the limit is reached first.

Currently around 11.86 crore FASTags have been issued across the country In out of which nearly 5.9 crore tags remain active.

According to data from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways more than 50 lakh users across India are currently using the FASTag Annual Pass.
In addition to nearly 28 percent of toll transactions made by private cars on national highways are now processed through the annual pass.
The rising usage also highlights the government’s push toward smart and digital transport infrastructure.
