Gaurav Banerjee to Lead Sony Pictures India Till 2029
Gaurav Banerjee will continue as Managing Director and CEO of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI)—officially operating under Culver Max Entertainment—until August 2029. This five-year extension, approved at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in August 2025, signals leadership stability at one of India’s most prominent media and entertainment firms.
Two key leadership figures were also appointed as Whole-time Directors.
In FY24, SPNI demonstrated strong financials,
SPNI operates 28 television channels across genres and its OTT platform SonyLIV, a key driver of digital viewership and subscription growth.
As of June 2025, the company reported a combined subscriber base of 424 million, underscoring its massive reach in the Indian entertainment market.
