Government Launches ‘Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye’ Campaign in Higher Educational Institutions

The government has announced the initiation of the ‘Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye’ campaign in higher educational institutions nationwide starting from February 27, 2024. This campaign aims to foster active participation among the youth in the electoral process, emphasizing the significance of voting for the betterment of the nation.

1. Union Education Minister’s Call to Action

  • Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan urges the youth to raise their voices through the ballot box.
  • He underscores Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to first-time voters and the youth to exercise their voting rights extensively.

2. Comprehensive Voter Awareness Activities

  • All higher educational institutions are directed by Mr. Pradhan to conduct extensive voter awareness programs within their campuses.
  • The objective is to mobilize and inspire the youth to actively engage in the democratic process, emphasizing their role as Yuva Shakti (youth power).

3. Symbolism of Democracy

  • The initiative signifies the paramount importance of elections and the pride associated with voting in the world’s largest democracy.
