Government Names New Envoys to New Zealand and Georgia
India has announced two important diplomatic appointments aimed at strengthening its overseas representation. Senior Indian Foreign Service officers Muanpuii Saiawi and Amit Kumar Mishra have been appointed as India’s next High Commissioner to New Zealand and Ambassador to Georgia respectively, reflecting India’s ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral ties across regions.
The Ministry of External Affairs has announced the appointment of Muanpuii Saiawi as India’s next High Commissioner to New Zealand and Amit Kumar Mishra as the next Ambassador to Georgia. Both officers are expected to assume charge shortly.
Muanpuii Saiawi has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to New Zealand.
As High Commissioner, she will play a key role in strengthening India-New Zealand cooperation in areas such as education, trade, agriculture, and Indo-Pacific engagement.
Amit Kumar Mishra has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Georgia.
He is expected to enhance India’s engagement with Georgia, particularly in education, trade, and people-to-people relations.
