Hanuman Jayanti is a special Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Hanuman. He is one of the most loved and respected gods in Hinduism. Lord Hanuman is believed to be the 11th form (avtar) of Lord Shiva. His parents were Anjana and Kesari. It is said that the wind god Vayu helped in his birth. That is why Hanuman is also known as the son of the wind.
