HDFC Life Reappoints Vibha Padalkar as MD & CEO for Five-Year Term
HDFC Life has approved the reappointment of Vibha Padalkar as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for another five-year term. The decision was taken at the company’s board meeting held on April 21, the insurer said in an exchange filing, adding that approvals from shareholders at the upcoming annual general meeting and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India are pending.
The company’s board have approved the reappointment during the meeting held on April 21, 2026.
The new term will
Ensure the continuity in leadership for five years and maintain the strategic direction during the dynamic phase for the insurance industry.
However this reappointment is subject to approval from shareholders at the Annual General Meeting and also the clearance from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Vibha Padalkar has been part of the HDFC Life since the year 2008 and she has played the important role to the company’s growth.
She is a chartered accountant and also a member of the The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Under her leadership HDFC Life has achieved the several milestones.
She played a important role in the company’s public listing in the year 2017 and the major merger and acquisition deal which have strengthened the position in India’s life insurance sector.
