Hemant Rupani Named New CEO of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages
The Coca-Cola Company has appointed Hemant Rupani as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB), effective September 8, 2025. He will take over from Juan Pablo Rodriguez, who is moving to a new role within the Coca-Cola group. This is a major leadership change at one of India’s largest beverage bottlers.
Hemant Rupani is currently the Business Unit President for Southeast Asia at Mondelez International Inc., where he manages markets like Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. He brings with him over two decades of experience in leadership roles across multiple sectors.
Rupani joined Mondelez in 2016 as Director of Sales for India, later becoming Vice President and Managing Director for Vietnam. In 2022, he was promoted to lead Mondelez’s Southeast Asia business.
Rupani will replace Juan Pablo Rodriguez, the current CEO of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. Rodriguez will move on to a new role within the Coca-Cola system, though his next assignment has not been disclosed yet. The transition marks a significant moment for HCCB as it looks to strengthen its market position under new leadership.
HCCB is the largest bottler of Coca-Cola beverages in India. In December 2024, Coca-Cola announced a partnership with Jubilant Bhartia Group, which agreed to acquire a 40% stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings Pvt Ltd, the parent company of HCCB. This move aimed to boost local partnerships and growth in India.
Rupani’s appointment is expected to support these goals, bringing his strong background in FMCG, technology, and telecom from his past roles at PepsiCo India, Vodafone, Infosys, Britannia, and ICI India Ltd.
