The event saw the presence of legendary players from the 1975 team, including Leslie Fernandez, Onkar Singh, Ashok Diwan, BP Govinda, Kaliah PE, Brigadier HJS Chimni, VJ Phillips, Ashok Kumar, Aslam Sher Khan, and Brigadier Harcharan Singh. Their contribution to Indian hockey remains unparalleled, and the award was a fitting tribute to their glorious victory.
