During summer, the temperature in Uttar Pradesh usually stays between 40ºC and 45ºC. But sometimes it climbs up to 49ºC or 50ºC. The Bundelkhand area of Uttar Pradesh is the hottest part of the state. Here, the land is very dry, and there are not many trees. So, the temperature there is much higher.

The hottest district in Uttar Pradesh is Banda. It is in the Bundelkhand area. The highest temperature in Banda was 49.2ºC in 2019. It was about 7ºC more than the normal temperature at that time. Earlier, in 1995, Banda’s temperature was 48.9ºC.

Other Hot Districts in Uttar Pradesh

Some other districts in Uttar Pradesh are also very hot during summer. Among them, Jhansi and Agra become quite warm when the temperature crosses 45ºC. These districts, like Banda, suffer from strong sunlight and very high temperatures in the summer months.
