India and South Korea Announce 25 Key Outcomes After High-Level Talks in New Delhi

The State Visit of Lee Jee Myung to India both countries have elevated their bilateral ties to the futuristic partnership and unveiled the total 25 key outcomes. After the following high-level talks with Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House both the nations have outlined an ambitious roadmap to deepen the cooperation across different sectors like the technology, trade, defense and cultural sectors. This move reflects the shared vision for the long-term collaboration in the complex global landscape.

Strategic Vision: Towards The Futuristic Partnership

The main part of the announcement is the Joint Strategic Vision for to strengthening the India-Republic of Korea (ROK) Special Strategic Partnership.

This framework focuses on to,

  • Expanding the cooperation in shipbuilding, maritime logistics, sustainability and energy security.
  • The goal is to create the resilient and future-ready partnership which will address the both economic and geopolitical challenges while ensuring mutual growth.

Key Agreements and MoUs Across Sectors

The wide range of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to enhance the collaboration in multiple domains.

Major areas of cooperation includes the,

  • Ports and maritime infrastructure
  • Steel and supply chain resilience

  • Climate action and sustainability

Also the important highlight is the India-Korea Digital Bridge which focus on to the emerging technologies such as the artificial intelligence, semiconductors and IT.

Both countries have set the ambitious target to increase the bilateral trade from $27 billion to $50 billion by 2030.

To achieve this target several initiatives have been introduced like,

Resumption of the negotiations to upgrade the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) along with the establishment of an India-Korea Financial Forum and additionally the proposal for the Korean Industrial Township in India.

These measures aim to boost the investment flows, strengthen supply chains and enhance economic integration between the nation.

New Dialogues and Global Initiatives

The partnership also includes the launch of new platforms for cooperation.

Key initiatives includes the,

  • An Economic Security Dialogue which will be strengthen critical technologies and supply chains.

  • South Korea has also joined India-led initiatives like the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative.
