India Beat Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2026 Thriller

India defeated Pakistan in the 27th Match of Group A at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 held at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. With a dominant all-round performance, India successfully defended 175 runs and tightened their grip in the tournament.

India Post 175/7 in 20 Overs

After Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl, India put up a competitive total of 175/7.

  • Ishan Kishan played a sensational knock of 77 off 40 balls, smashing 10 fours and 3 sixes.
  • Suryakumar Yadav (32) and Tilak Varma (25) provided stability in the middle overs.
  • Shivam Dube (27 off 17) and Rinku Singh (11 off 4)* finished strongly in the death overs.

For Pakistan, Saim Ayub was the standout bowler with 3 wickets for 25 runs.

India scored 52 runs in the powerplay and built a strong 87-run partnership between Kishan and Tilak Varma that set the foundation for a big total.
