India Creates History Again, Enters Thomas Cup 2026 Semifinals With 3–0 Win

Indian men’s badminton team have delivered the sensational performance at the Thomas Cup 2026 and they have defeated the Chinese Taipei 3-0 in Horsens in Denmark. After this win they have enter in to the semi-finals and now they have secured the medal. This will marks only the second time when the India has reached the last four stage and reaffirmed the growing dominance in the global badminton after they have won their historic title win in the year 2022.

Lakshya Sen Leads India with Comeback Win

Lakshya Sen set the tone for the India with the thrilling victory over Chou Tien-chen who is the world No. 6.

After losing the first set of the game Lakshya staged a remarkable comeback to win 18-21, 22-20, 21-17.

This match have showcased his resilience as he saved the two match points in the second game before the decider.

This victory also has improved his head-to-head record against Chou.

Satwik-Chirag Duo Extends Dominance in Doubles

The world No. 4 pair Indian doubles of the Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty delivered under pressure.

They defeated Wang Chi-lin and Chiu Hsiang-chieh by 23-21, 19-21, 21-12.

After the tight start this Indian pair have dominated the final game and extended their unbeaten record against the Taiwanese duo to 3-0.

Ayush Shetty Seals Victory with Big Upset

The Young debutant Ayush Shetty has delivered the finishing touch by defeating Lin Chun-Yi who is the reigning All England champion.

He won with the score of the 21-16, 21-17.

His composed performance against the higher-ranked opponent have highlights the India’s strong bench strength and future talent.

This tournament held every two years.

This tournament is equivalent to the World Cup in badminton.
