For the first time, India has officially joined the WorldSkills Asia Competition, a prestigious skills championship that brings together the best young professionals from across the continent. On November 24, 2025, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship flagged off a 23-member Indian contingent to participate in the event, set to take place in Chinese Taipei from November 27, 2025. This debut marks a major milestone in India’s mission to become the “Skill Capital of the World”, aligning with the government’s push to enhance global competitiveness through vocational excellence.
