India Energy Week 2027 to Be Held in Kolkata from January 28 to 31

India Energy Week (IEW) 2027 will take place in Kolkata between January 28 to 31, when the international energy conference will be held for the first time in eastern India. It will be the fifth conference which will take place in New Town Convention Centre. Organized under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, IEW 2027 will provide a platform to policymakers, energy firms, investors and innovators of technology to talk about energy security, affordability and the move to cleaner energy systems.

First India Energy Week in Eastern India

India Energy Week in Kolkata offers a unique regional flavor to IEW. This event aims at creating greater opportunities for the businesses, institutions, and energy industry stakeholders from eastern India to interact with the international players and engage in global energy conversations.

This event will also create investment opportunities in the region.

Kolkata joins the list of cities which have hosted the previous editions of India Energy Week. India Energy Week 2023 was held in Bengaluru while India Energy Week 2026 was hosted by Goa.

Theme of India Energy Week 2027

Theme of IEW 2027 is as follows,

This theme emphasizes the need to strike a balance between energy security, affordability, and sustainability through innovations in the energy sector.

According to the official IEW 2027 program, various topics such as hydrogen, biofuels, digitalization, artificial intelligence, net-zero pathway, renewables, LNG, city gas distribution, and petrochemicals will be covered.

Strategic conference will gather ministers, policy-makers, industry leaders, executives and innovators from around the world and will discuss energy security, affordability, sustainability and changing energy landscape.

The exhibition will be a platform for technologies presentation and developing business relationships in global energy value chain.

Previous Editions of India Energy Week

India Energy Week was started in 2023 in Bengaluru. In subsequent years, there were improvements in the level of international participation and industry representation at the conference.

For instance, the 2026 India Energy Week Conference was hosted in Goa with the attendance of foreign ministers, policy makers, corporations and energy agencies. The official website of IEW cites participation from agencies such as International Energy Forum, BIMSTEC and Eurasian Economic Union in the previous year’s conference.

In that sense, the 2027 India Energy Week Conference will take the proceedings forward while hosting them for the first time in eastern India.

Organiser and Government Patronage

India Energy Week takes place under the patronage of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. This event is organised by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI).

The organisational aspect of this event involves both government and technical deliberations.
