India Launches World’s First Franchise-Based Road Cycling League
Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya has unveiled the official logo of the Cycling League of India (CLI). This will be the world’s first professional franchise based road cycling league. This initiative aims to promote cycling as a competitive sport in India. Also building a professional ecosystem that nurtures talent, attracts international participation and increases the country’s global sporting presence. The minister described the league as a “watershed moment for Indian cycling” in event.
The Cycling League of India is designed as a franchise based professional cycling league, similar to other major sports leagues.
