India Unveils FIDE World Cup 2025 Logo and Anthem

India marked a significant moment in international sports as Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant unveiled the official logo and anthem for the FIDE World Cup 2025 at a cultural ceremony in Panaji, Goa on October 21, 2025. This milestone not only brings global chess back to India after 23 years, but also sets the stage for an event that merges sport, culture, and national pride.

  • Goa will hosting 206 elite players from 82 countries in a high-stakes knockout tournament.

Logo and Anthem Reflect Goa’s Spirit

The newly launched logo encapsulates Goa’s vibrant cultural identity and the strategic depth of chess through three trapezoidal panels,

  • Green panel: White palm tree over blue waves representing Goa’s coastal beauty
  • Red panel: White checkerboard pattern symbolizing chess
  • Yellow panel: A stylized sun with curved rays denoting Goa’s warmth and festive spirit

Complementing the visual identity is the anthem, titled “It’s Your Move”, voiced by legendary singer Daler Mehndi. Blending traditional energy with a modern beat, the anthem features appearances by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top Indian chess stars including,
