India Wins Two Bronze Medals at Asia Cup Archery Stage 1: Full Results and Highlights

India has delivered the mix of promising performance at the Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament Stage 1 after winning two bronze medals. With this also securing multiple spots in the finals. While the compound teams showcased the consistency and strength the recurve men’s section faced the surprising dip in performance. Despite setback of the results the Indian archers remain strong contenders for more medals and it especially in team and individual finals.

India have secured two bronze medals through solid performances in team categories.

Women’s Recurve Team Shines

The trio of Ruma Biswas, Kirti and Ridhi Phor had delivered a commanding performance to defeat Malaysia 5-1.

They dominated from the start and winning the first two sets convincingly and maintain the composure to seal the bronze.

This marks the strong comeback after missing the podium finish in the previous edition.

Men’s Compound Team Recovers for Bronze

The experienced trio of Rajat Chauhan, Rishabh Yadav and Uday Kamboj initially suffered a narrow semifinal loss to Vietnam but they have bounced back strongly.

They defeated the Bhutan 234-232 in a tight contest to secure the bronze and it showing resilience after missing out on defending their title.

Finals Bound: Strong Medal Hopes for India

India has already assured the multiple medals by entering key finals across categories.

Men’s Recurve Team in Final

The top-seeded Indian team of Devaang Gupta, Sukhchain Singh and Juyel Sarkar have defeated Malaysia 5-1 to reach the final.

They will now face the Kazakhstan and it aiming to convert their strong form into gold.

Women’s Compound Team Targets Gold

The trio of Chikitha Taniparthi, Raj Kaur and Tejal Salve edged past the Thailand 229-226 in a thrilling semifinal.

They will now compete against Kazakhstan in the final, improving upon their previous bronze finish.

Individual Events: Medal Assured but Mixed Outcomes

India has confirmed 3 individual medals, and it is especially in the compound category but the performance show variations.

In men compound Abhishek Jawkar and Uday Kamboj progressed to the final after impressive wins and which ensuring a gold and silver for India.

Meanwhile Rajat Chauhan will compete for bronze.

In women’s recurve Ridhi Phor emerged as the standout performer and reaching the final with a dominant straight-set victory.

She now eyes her first international gold medal.
