He emphasized that the ‘Make in India’ initiative has been instrumental in establishing India as a competitive manufacturing hub. He encouraged investors to capitalize on the burgeoning opportunities, warning that overlooking India’s market could result in missed prospects.
Strategic Partnerships: On the sidelines of Heimtextil, Minister Singh engaged with the Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association and IVGT, Germany. He urged them to strengthen their involvement with India’s textile sector, highlighting that India is one of the largest buyers of textile machinery. He noted that collaboration would be mutually beneficial, citing the success of a German sewing thread manufacturer thriving in India as a testament to the potential for German manufacturers to invest and produce machinery in India.
